Wednesday Meeting

With mask wearing was the norm, fourteen members had set The Circuit out when I arrived.  Sections of Sarre and Edington were receiving attention and several models were being assembled on the long table, including vans and road lorries.  Nearby, Tim had a tall brewery building taking shape.

When members talked over our Open Afternoon, the sheer amount of use that our layouts receive was noted.  It far exceeds anything I’d envisaged.  Perhaps we’d get less damage with two people handling each section.  It could help when sections are linked, with less chance of forcing a fit.  It had been a enjoyable day, with that buzz of members and friends.  We also had ideas of how to improve on it.

DCC locos came from Chris; a SECR P tank being programmed; and Tim’s MR Pug which was tried with a variety of whistle crows.  I ran pre-grouping Welsh stock with Roger’s Direct Rail Services class 37 alongside.  Large and small GWR tender locos and a GWR railcar were on the Circuit, alongside power bogies.
