Our focus today was on road transport and buildings with many fine examples having been brought in. Tim brought in one of his epic brewery layout buildings and David G and others brought in numerous examples of road transport and lineside buildings. There were some impressive road vehicles and I particularly like David G’s coalman’s dray.
David G also brought back one of the Lenham boards that he had been working on at home. The track laying on this board is now complete and David and the Lenham team hope to complete the trackwork and wiring very soon.

Over lunch we talked about the exhibitions later in the year that we have committed to at Faversham, Gravesend and Warley. We will exhibit a layout at Gravesend this year but will not have a sales table there. I reported that John Plumpton had thanked us for his appointment as a Life Member of the club and hopes to be able to join us at a meeting sometime in the future.
Our Treasurer Geoff reported that subscriptions are now due and if you haven’t already paid to do so as soon as possible to avoid having to be chased up for them.
Finally with David Ho being away due to his wife’s recent knee operation Tim took over the catering arrangements and kept us all supplied with teas and coffees. Chris
