Today our focus on the circuit was on bogie freight stock and NPCS and Rob got the ball rolling with his ex LSWR B4 pulling some SR bogie ballast wagons and an ex LSWR brake van. David G then added his bogie bolster wagon with the super dooper roller bearings which if placed on any surface that isn’t perfectly level tends to run away.
After doing some work on it on the big table Bill ran his GWR 517 Class 0-6-0 tank on the circuit but unfortunately it was having an off day and insisted on going straight on at the curves. Steve ran his very distinctive Fell diesel 10100 with its livery inspired by B&Q and his BR 8F Austerity 2-8-0 90241 with its livery inspired by Henry Ford.

Later Graham ran a whole train of bogie wagons including two hopper wagons with ballast, three bogie bolsters carrying logs and steels and three Pratts oil tankers all pulled along by his very heavily weathered Standard 4MT 2-6-0 76021.
On the big table Bill, Paul and Steve worked on their respective locos while Tim continued in his mission to populate club layouts with signal boxes as he worked on a laser printed kit of an over track box which could potentially be added to Queen Charlotte Dock. Tim is also mocking up some colour light signals for the top section of that layout.
Also, on the big table and in keeping with the theme of the day John B started work on his Slater’s kit of an SR 28 ton bogie brake van In between dishing out teas and coffees David Ho brought out his trusty jigsaw and worked on adding bracing pieces to the micro-layout to strengthen it and prevent it from warping.

While this was all going on Ross as he does at every meeting moved sneakily among us taking pictures for the website when we weren’t looking. Chris
