After some initial discussion concerning the correct methodology of setting up the circuit we settled down to various modelling tasks
Theme of the day on the circuit was “Big Steam”. David G ran his 8 F and Crab 2 6 0 with a rake of Stanier red & cream coaches , I ran my SECR E Class with an SECR trio until a wheel fell off the E Class .
Steve ran his Ivatt Class 4 2 6 0 with some goods stock.
In between all of that various smaller locos managed to sneak a run out on the circuit.
While all that was going on Paul W and Barry K , assisted from time to time by the Secretary, stuck cork down on the new Lenham boards before sticking down the track plan.
Over on the big table John B progressed his engine shed; Jackie was assembling a brake van while Steve was working out the next stage on his Class 0 3 build.
Roger got busy with some coal wagons and Geoff and Ross swapped railway stories.
When not busy supervising running on the circuit John P researched the R1 he had acquired from Geoff at the last meeting.
Over lunch we discussed a possible outing in the summer with a trip to Essex the preferred choice.
Geoff is going to look further in to that and come back with the details so that we can get it all fixed up.
Finally, David Ho, the most important man in the room provided us all with teas and coffees and did the washing up.
